Having what you need, when you need it is a form of self-care. Take a look at some items I make sure to have with me day to day.

While I live with depression, I also struggle and live with anxiety. Making sure I have my must-haves in my bag gives me a sense of relief when I’m conquering my day.

1. Sticky notes and a pen

I struggle with brain fog often, so having something to write notes down on is super helpful. They’re nice to have, too, if I have to make a last-minute grocery list while I’m already out!

2. My calendar

My daily/monthly calendar comes with me everywhere. Staying organized is something that helps me reduce my anxiety. Between therapy appointments, doctor appointments, and everyday activities, being able to keep track of everything helps me feel more at ease.

3. Pacifica Coconut Milk Detangler Elixir

I love keeping a detangler spray in my bag, especially after a workout or after a shift at work. The Pacifica Coconut Milk Detangler Elixir just smells so amazing and makes me feel refreshed!

4. Chapstick

My chapstick is a must-have. It’s almost always with me since one of my pet peeves is having chapped lips! I feel like I can’t focus if my lips are chapped.

5. Medication container

My med container comes with me pretty much all the time, especially if I know there’s a possibility I’ll be out late. I like to take my medication/supplements around the same time each day, so making sure I have them is key.

6. My iPad

I work a part-time job from home, so having my iPad with me is super helpful. I like to switch up where I work and take a ride to a coffee shop to get some work done!

7. LMNT electrolytes drink mix

I like to keep a single-serve packet of LMNT electrolytes drink mix in my bag. I’m not always the best at drinking water and tend to feel dehydrated. So putting this in my bag helps remind me to drink more.

9. Lion Latch Jewelry Case

I keep a separate container for my rings when I’m out. I love having this Lion Latch Jewelry Case when I have to take them off and don’t want them rattling around in my bag. It makes me feel secure knowing where they are.

10. Headphones

I love having my headphones with me. I tend to get overwhelmed with lots of people around. I like being able to put a podcast in or listen to music when I’m in a public place.

11. Extra scrunchies

I always have to have an extra scrunchie in my bag, especially because I feel more comfortable when my hair is up.

12. Touchland Power Mist

I always have to have hand sanitizer in my bag, like the Touchland Power Mist spray bottle. It’s so convenient and it’s great to have when I’m out at stores or even at the gym.

13. Phone charger

Having my phone charged is key throughout my day. When I’m having a hard day and struggling with my depression it’s super important that I have my phone to reach out to my support system. Therefore, having a charger makes me feel a lot better.
